Issue

Their Ugar tidal measuring station kept on going offline.

There is a hill between the station and the closest mobile tower, located 30 km away on Yorke Island which sometimes blocks the 3G mobile signal.

Products Used

A network approved stationary booster, marine omni antenna mounted high on a pole and a small adhesive antenna in the metal enclosure with the modem.

Result

The 3G model received a strong continuous signal, resulting in the tidal station always being online.
